Master of Laws (LLM) at the London School of Economics and Political Science (2009, graduated with Merit); postgraduate studies in The Center for American and International Law (Academy on American and International Law, 2007); postgraduate studies in finance and corporate law at Universidad ESAN (2005); Universidad de Lima (Bachelor of Laws 2003, awarded magna cum laude).
Maurice has lead and has been part of teams conducting several M&A and reviews of projects, having 10 years' experience in corporate law, government procurement and natural resources. Among other transactions Maurice led the due diligence team over the Quellaveco Copper Project (Anglo American Quellaveco) prior to the acquisition by Mitsubishi Corporation of the participation interest held by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in the project.
In the public procurement area of expertise Maurice constantly advises clients on procurement issues and has advised foreign companies on a number of sensitive and complex sales, including high-tech and medical products, contracts directly negotiated with the Peruvian government and procurement of weaponry and supplies for the Peruvian army.
