Leila Pigozzi Alves is partner at De Luca, Derenusson, Schuttoff e Azevedo Advogados (DDSA) leading the Labour and Immigration department of the firm.

With an extensive knowledge on labour issues as litigation, contracts, due diligences, training, prevention, management and elimination of contingencies, policies of compensation and human resources, Leila is able to deal with collective rights and has all the skills for mediation and negotiation with unions. In addition, she is specialist in the policies for the employment of foreigners to work in national companies and expatriates rights.

Moreover, Ms Alves is recognised by her clients and peers as a leader lawyer in her field and has been nominated for international and notorious publications. She is considered “very pragmatic and sharp” in her practice, as well as having a “deep knowledge” of labour and employment Brazilian complex legislation.

Leila has a master’s in Labour and Social Security Law at the recognised Instituto de Direito do Trabalho da Universidade de Direito de Lisboa and graduated from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo. She is also a member of the Portuguese Bar Association in Lisbon and of the Association Internationale de Jeunes Avocats.
