Luis Ricardo Ruiz Gutiérrez focuses on labour and social security law. He began his professional career in 1973 as an intern at Gonzalez de Castilla, SC in civil litigation. In 1977, he joined Barrera, Siqueiros y Torres Landa (now Hogan Lovells) in civil litigation. In 1979, he started working in the labour and social security department of the firm, and he became an associate attorney in the firm in 1980. In 1987, he became senior partner of the firm, heading the labour and social security department, and since 2008, he has been partner at the labour and social security department and, along with Hugo Hernández-Ojeda Alvírez, leads the firm’s labour practice.
