Mauricio Jaramillo is an attorney from Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia, with advanced studies in commercial law from the Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia and a master’s in public administration from the Deutsche Hochschule fuer Verwaltungswissenschaften Speyer, in Speyer, Germany. He has been professor at the Universidad Javeriana in intellectual property law, and in competition law. Mauricio is an attorney with more than 20 years of professional experience and a member of our intellectual property and competition practices. His professional career began in the firm Carreño Abogados while he was a law student and later he became partner at Abogados. He has been working at Gómez-Pinzón Zuleta Abogados SA since 2000. As a member of the competition practice, Mauricio focuses his practice on advising companies in the competitive effects of business practices, including unfair trade practices, unfair competition, consumer rights, as well as merger control regulations. During the previous years, Mauricio has represented in competition issues clients such as Avianca, Elli Lilly, Experian, Jansen, GSK, Loreal, Mattel, Nalco, Pfizer, Xignux, Yanbal, among others.
