Jorge G De Presno Arizpe was born 2 June 1962, in Mexico City.
As of 1 February 2012 he has been the partner responsible for the Labour, Employment, Social Security and Immigration practice group of Basham, Ringe y Correa SC.
Dedicated to the practice of labour, employment and social security law, both collective and individual, litigator, strategist and counsellor.
Has lectured before different Associations, Chambers of Commerce, etc, in the fields of labour and constitutional law.
2011 pro bono award recipient from the Mexican Bar Association for his dedication in serving the community in labour and employment aspects.
Co-author of the book published by the Mexican Bar Association Falta de Liquidez de las Empresas y sus consecuencias jurídicas.
Contributed chapter on Mexico to ABA’s, International Practitioner’s Deskbook Series: International Labor and Employment Law: A Practical Guide (1 June 2006).
Member of the board of directors (council) of the Mexican Bar Association for several council periods, of the Ilustre y Nacional Colegio de Abogados de México, Asociación Nacional de Abogados de Empresa, The American Bar Association and the Interamerican Bar Association (FIA). He is also a member of the board of directors of the FIA, and President of the Labour and Social Security Law committee. President of the Interamerican Bar Association 2008–2009.
Active participant in the corresponding committees of labour and employment law in all of the associations mentioned above.
