Eduardo A Mayora is managing partner of the leading law firm Mayora & Mayora, SC and General Counsel to the Board of the Securities Exchange (Bolsa de Valores Nacional). Among his professional achievements he acted as head legal counsel for the telecommunications privatisation process in Guatemala, has been the dean of one of the most reputable law schools of Guatemala, Francisco Marroquín University, where he is presently the director of the seminar on Law and Economics. In the public sector he has been a member of the Board of the Office of the Tax Administration of Guatemala.

He received his education at Universidad Rafael Landivar, Guatemala in 1980 (sttorney at law and notary public), Georgetown University, Washington, DC (Master of Laws) in 1982, Francisco Marroquin University, Guatemala in 1997 (Doctor of Law) and Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, Spain in 2004 (Doctor in Pluralist, Public and Private Law). Dr Mayora also taught as a visiting professor at the Pontificia Universidade Católica de Porto Alegre, Río Grande do Sul, Brazil (1994), Université de Montpellier School of Law, Montpellier, France (1995), Université de Aix – Marseille, School of Economics, France (2002) and as visiting professor on the Economic Analysis of Law at the University of Paris II, France (2006).
Dr Mayora is a former member of the editorial board and columnist of the daily newspaper Siglo Veintiuno (S21), member and former director of the Mont Pelerin Society, and of the Philadelphia Society.Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
