About the Author
Enrique Varsi is a graduate lawyer from the University of Lima, with a master's in Civil and Commercial Law and a doctorate in Law by the National University of San Marcos.
He is an expert in civil, commercial, litigation and in local and international Arbitration disputes. He is a member of the Court of Arbitration and arbitrator in national controversies sponsored by the Center of National and International Conciliation and Arbitration of the Lima Chamber of Commerce, Centre for analysis and conflict resolution PUCP, Lima Bar Association and Center for Conciliation and Arbitration – CECONAR Institutions Superintendency of Health Care Providers.
He also served as a member of the Commission for the Civil Code amendments (2002), main consultant and representative of the Ministry of Justice, more exactly in the Commission for the Reform of the Administration of Justice.
He provides legal counselling to several companies on judicial, administrative and arbitration proceedings; as well as major to banking and financial entities of the country.
Likewise, he has participated in several due diligences to important national and foreign companies on behalf of mergers, acquisitions, syndicated loans, bond issuing, among others.
As a lawyer, he has over 25 years of experience in the areas of civil and commercial litigation. He is professor of civil law at the University of Lima and the National University of San Marcos since 1990 to date in pre and postgraduate school. In addition to his academic activity, Enrique is a speaker at national and international conferences of civil and commercial law and is author of several articles and books on civil law.
