About the Author
Carlos Enrique Arata is a partner at the firm’s corporate and finance practice area, attorney-at-law (Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú), master’s in finances and corporate law (Esan University) in 2010, and a law master’s (the New York University School of Law) in 2013.
Prior to joining Rubio Leguía Normand, Carlos worked as an international associate at the following New York firms: Sidley Austin LLP, DLA Piper LLP and Clifford Chance LLP, where he had the chance to participate in some of the country’s most important infrastructure projects. Previously, he worked as a senior associate at a local law firm, where he had the chance to participate in finance transactions related to different economic areas, and in the acquisition of large-scale companies.
His experience focuses on project finance, capital market issuances, corporate finance and mergers & acquisitions, with special emphasis on retail, energy, hydrocarbons, mining and infrastructure, in both domestic and international markets.
Nominated in 2011, 2012 and 2013 as Associate to Watch in the areas of Finance and Mergers and Acquisitions and in 2017 as Up and Coming by Chambers and Partners Latin America.
