Yahoo! zips up Brazilian rankings with US$30 million splurge on Cadê?

The Brazilian division of US Internet media group Yahoo!, Yahoo! do Brasil Internet Ltda (Yahoo! Brazil), has bought Cadê?, the leading Brazilian search engine and Web directory, from the Brazilian subsidiary of StarMedia Network, StarMedia do Brasil Ltda. The deal was announced on January 8. Pinheiro Neto Advogados and Veirano & Advogados Associados provided outside counsel for Yahoo! and StarMedia respectively.
