Visteon acquires LatAm assets in multinational auto-part deal

US auto-parts company Visteon has acquired Johnson Controls’ electronic business for US$265 million in a multijurisdictional deal that saw eight offices from US firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP act as lead counsel to the buyer and Demarest Advogados in São Paulo assist with the transaction’s Brazilian leg.
