Venezuela strikes debt deal with six international airlines
Venezuela has taken steps to pay off dollar debts owed to six international airlines in a bid to prevent carriers leaving the country after local requirements to sell tickets in bolivars meant they were unable to repatriate their earnings, but local lawyers say the government will have to convince the airlines that it will abide by the repayment plan first.
