Venezuela case resumes after year-long hiatus

British arbitrator Vaughan Lowe QC has taken over as president of the ICSID panel hearing a Canadian mining company's US$1 billion claim against Venezuela - replacing the late Robert Briner and enabling the case to proceed after a year's suspension.
