Three Brazilian firms steer first private-to-public motorway transfer

Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown has helped a company controlled by the western state of Mato Grosso acquire road concessionaire Rota do Oeste for 2.2 billion reais (US$440 million), the first time that a Brazilian private road concession has been passed on to public ownership.
