Security denied in Chilean hydro dispute
A tribunal at the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has refused to order a subsidiary of AES to post bonds worth US$73 million pending an arbitration over a Chilean hydroelectric power plant – at the same time overturning a decision by an emergency arbitrator that required the company to hand over certain documents.
