Reinsurer IRB Brasil raises US$230 million in equity offering

IRB Brasil Resseguros has hired Hogan Lovells LLP in São Paulo and New York and Mattos Filho in São Paulo to raise 1.2 billion reais (US$230 million) in an equity offering, following multi-million dollar losses in the second quarter of the year.
