Private equity invests in Mexican renewables
Goldman Sachs' infrastructure investment arm and Mexican private equity fund Grupo Bursátil Mexicano Infraestructura (GBMI) have teamed up to buy the first two phases of a wind farm project in east Mexico for US$400 million, hiring Mijares, Angoitia, Cortés y Fuentes SC in Mexico City, Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in New York and Milbank Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP in Los Angeles as counsel.
