Panasonic agrees US$1 billion Bayer acquisition

Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP’s Tokyo, New York, California, Hong Kong and London offices, Argentina’s Pérez Alati, Grondona, Benites, Arntsen & Martínez de Hoz (h), Brazil’s Vieira Rezende Advogados and Mexico’s Creel, García-Cuéllar, Aiza y Enriquez SC have helped the health-care arm of Panasonic buy the diabetes care business of German pharmaceuticals company Bayer for US$1.1 billion.
