Pace of Mexican energy reforms “remarkable”, but regulatory gaps remain, say lawyers
The reforms opening up Mexico’s oil and gas sector to private participation have been enacted quickly, but there is still a lack of clarity regarding rules for fracking, payments to landowners and contracts between state-owned energy company Pemex and its network of petrol stations, heard delegates at Latin Lawyer’s 7th Annual Oil & Gas Conference.
