New tax laws will harm FDI in El Salvador, say lawyers
El Salvador’s Congress has approved two taxes targeting the telecoms sector and high-earning individuals and companies, the profits of which will be used to finance security improvements in the crime-ridden country, but lawyers fear the move could deter much-needed foreign investment and stifle the telecoms industry.
