'New Market' created by the SÃ£o Paulo Stock Exchange (Bovespa)
The purpose of the 'New Market', introduced by Bovespa on December 11, 2000 is to attract publicly-held companies willing to disclose more information on their businesses and take on more responsibilities before their minority shareholders - currently known as 'good corporate governance'.
