New independent investment agent in Brazil
The Brazilian Monetary Council (CMN) has decided to create a new player in the domestic capital market: the Agente Autonomo de Investimento (‘Independent Investment Agent’). The CMN has additionally determined the scope of the Agent’s activities, the basic rules governing which are contemplated in Resolution 2838 of May 30, 2001, issued by the Central Bank of Brazil (Bacen).
