New Brazilian labour law to reduce unemployment
The Brazilian government is seeking to pass a bill aimed to help reduce unemployment. Bill No. 5483/01 aims to alter the rules governing the relationship between Brazilian employers and their employees. Until now, this relationship has been established by the conservative and employee-protective Labour Law Consolidation, which came into effect in 1943.
