Nestlé’s Pfizer buy cleared in Venezuela, Argentina and Central America
Swiss food company Nestlé has obtained approval from the competition authorities in Venezuela, Argentina, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Costa Rica for the US$11.85 billion acquisition of US pharmaceutical company Pfizer’s infant nutrition business, after the takeover was blocked in Mexico over concerns the company would gain a near-monopoly in the industry.
