NAFTA claim sparks witness-tampering complaint
A Mexican telecoms company has sought to subpoena the lawyers representing its majority shareholders in a US$500 million North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) claim against Mexico after one of their witnesses allegedly backed out of giving evidence in the arbitration because of threats of retaliation by government officials.
