Millicom and UNE close US$4.4 billion merger

The New York office of Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, Colombia’s Brigard & Urrutia Abogados and Spain’s Uría Menéndez have helped Stockholm-based telecoms company Millicom complete its US$4.4 billion merger with Colombian state-owned UNE EPM, creating one of the largest telecoms companies in Colombia.
