Mexico’s tax reforms draw reaction from London
With Mexico’s president Enrique Peña Nieto recently committing to maintain reforms to the country’s tax code until at least 2016, an audience in London questioned the lack of incentives for SMEs and businesses contained within the bill after a partner at one of the country’s tax boutiques said the new rules have done little to formalise its vast informal sector and introduce too many illogical rules that will disproportionately affect the country’s middle class.
