Mexico pays US$6 billion for Iberdrola power plants

State-owned fund Mexico Infrastructure Partners (MIP) has enlisted local firms Ritch Mueller y Nicolau, SC, Greenberg Traurig SC and Creel, García-Cuéllar, Aiza y Enríquez SC to buy 13 power plants from Spanish energy group Iberdrola in a deal worth US$6 billion.
