McGuinness seeks to leverage Jones Day’s regional presence with move

Jones Day’s hiring of Shearman & Sterling LLP’s Michael McGuinness forms part of its strategy to strengthen its backbone in New York in support of on-the-ground expansion in Latin America, while giving McGuinness the regional presence and local lawyers he says are needed to build on his practice.
