MasterCard and Telefónica combine in first of its kind JV

MasterCard and Telefónica have drawn on the services of some 15 law firms, including 12 from Latin America, in a multi-jurisdictional joint venture that will give mobile phone users in a dozen countries in the region the ability to use their phones to make basic financial transactions.
