Linklaters, Tozzini Freire, Dewey Ballantine and Pinheiro Neto assist on first public offering of subordinated debt by Brazilian bank
Linklaters & Alliance and Tozzini, Freire, Teixeira E Silva Advogados have advised Banco Itaú, while Dewey Ballantine LLP and Pinheiro Neto Advogados have acted as special counsel to Merrill Lynch & Co, the representative of the initial purchasers, on a benchmark Tier 2 capital deal for Banco Itaú. This transaction is the first public offering of subordinated debt by a Brazilian bank.
