Mexico’s drive to increase the use of its capital markets to fund infrastructure projects and develop its newly opened energy sector has put the country’s securities regulator centre-stage. Eduardo Flores, vice president of markets supervision at the Comisión Nacional Bancaria y de Valores, talks to Joe Rowley about the challenge of regulating a variety of new instruments and the role the agency will play in the future
