Hague tribunal finds Ecuador violated interim measures
A tribunal in The Hague has ruled that Ecuador violated two interim awards preventing enforcement of a US$19 billion judgment against Chevron over environmental pollution in the Amazon, after the state failed to intervene when the judgment beneficiaries filed recognition proceedings in Canada, Brazil and Argentina.
