GDF Suez enters Brazilian O&G sector with Vale buy

Baker Botts LLP in London and Rio de Janeiro and Brazil’s Mattos Filho, Veiga Filho, Marrey Jr e Quiroga Advogados have helped French energy company GDF Suez agree to acquire 20 per cent of Vale’s stake in two gas exploration blocks in the northeast of Brazil, as part of the miner’s divestment plan.
