Firms steer US$5.7 billion global chemical buy

Six Baker McKenzie LLP offices, Trench Rossi Watanabe in São Paulo and Pérez Bustamante & Ponce (PBP) in Quito have helped Swiss chemicals company Sika buy German counterpart MBCC Group from private equity fund Lone Star in a transaction worth 5.5 billion francs (US$5.7 billion), which included transferring shares in the seller’s various Latin American subsidiaries to the buyer.
