Ferrero counsels Glencore Xstrata in ‘best yet’ deal with local communities

After more than a year of negotiations, Peru’s Ferrero Abogados has helped Glencore Xstrata reach an agreement with local communities near its Tintaya-Antapaccay mining project - a deal described by the firm as the “best case the government has had so far” in dealing with social unrest after widespread protests against two other mining projects led to their suspension.
