Feinzaig, Scharf & van der Putten advises on largest-ever Costa Rican freeway concession agreement
The government of Costa Rica has granted a concession agreement to build a freeway running from the capital, San José, to the port of Caldera on the Pacific Ocean. With an estimated net value of more than US$250 million and construction costs of around US$150 million, the 76.8km San José-Caldera freeway concession is the largest awarded by the Costa Rican government to date. The agreement was executed on December 18 2001.
