Familiar faces in StoneCo’s US$1.5 billion follow-on

Brazilian payment processor StoneCo has hired Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP in New York, Mattos Filho, Veiga Filho, Marrey Jr e Quiroga Advogados in São Paulo and Harneys in the Cayman Islands to raise nearly US$1.5 billion in an equity issuance, the proceeds of which will fund the merger of its Brazilian investment business and local retail software company Linx.
