Energy, competition and labour reforms key to boost Mexico’s economy, say observers

Mexico’s political landscape "is neither democracy nor dictatorship but a feudal system", with the vassals of unions, networks and domestic monopolies controlling their patches of land which are “more powerful than the lord so nothing gets done”, said Rodrigo Aguilera, an economist at the Economist Intelligence Unit speaking during an analysis of Mexico’s recent presidential elections in London yesterday.
