Ecuadorean firms help structure innovative water deal

The Empresa Cantonal de Agua Potable y Alcantarillado (ECAPAG) - the municipal water operator in the coastal city of Guayaquil - has signed a 30-year concession contract with International Water Services (Guayaquil) Interagua C Ltda to upgrade and manage its water, wastewater and drainage system. It is the first privatisation of a public service of this kind in Ecuador.
