Ecuador secures unprecedented Chinese loan after "complex" negotiations

Negotiations lasting a year and innovative loan structures have resulted in Ecuador securing a US$1.7 billion loan from the Export-Import Bank of China (EximBank), say the lawyers who worked on the deal.
