An Italian-owned company is seeking more than US$100 million in an International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) claim against Panama over what it calls a “multi-pronged blitzkrieg” against its biofuel operations, including regulatory changes and allegations of environmental pollution.
