Credit derivatives: the new financial product on the Brazilian market
On February 28, the Brazilian National Monetary Council issued Resolution No. 2,933, which authorises financial institutions to make credit derivatives transactions. A credit derivatives transaction permits the transfer of the credit risk to which a financial institution is subject to another party that, in exchange for the assumption of this risk, will be remunerated.
