Copel privatises with US$1 billion follow-on

Two Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP offices and Stocche Forbes Advogados in São Paulo have helped the Brazilian state of Paraná privatise electricity provider Companhia Paranaense de Energia (Copel) through a 5.2 billion reais (US$1 billion) follow-on offering.
