Within project financing circles, Peru has made a name for itself by using innovative financial structures to fund vast, socially beneficial infrastructure projects. Until now, telecoms has been left off the funding map, but a complicated financing package previously used to support the construction of roads, water systems and hospitals has helped lure investors to correct the country’s chronic lack of high-speed mobile internet services.
