Congress proposes Pemex pension overhaul; sends energy bill to Senate

As Mexico’s Congress makes final amendments to the country’s energy reform bills, it is proposing that the government helps to relieve Pemex and Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) from their heavy pension liabilities, part of what lawyers are calling a “profound transformation” of state-owned incumbents’ structures.
