Colombia’s Supreme Court can handle Uribe case, observers say

Following the Colombian Supreme Court’s landmark decision ordering former President Álvaro Uribe under house arrest amid allegations of fraud and witness tampering, lawyers and analysts have underlined the independence of the country’s highest judicial institution and its capability to handle the case, but warn against the matter being moved to other institutions.
