'.co' domain name declared of public interest

The ‘co’ domain name in Colombia has been administrated by University of Los Andes since 1991, and no local regulations exist with respect to this matter. On December 11, however, the Council of State (the Colombian Administrative High Court) answered a request filed by the Ministry of Communications with respect to the legal status of the domain name ‘co’.
