Chilean power grid connection gets cross-border finance

Shearman & Sterling LLP’s New York office and Chilean firm Prieto have helped energy company Transmisora Eléctrica del Norte (TEN) obtain a loan of US$851 million to finance the construction of a 600km electricity transmission line that will connect Chile’s central and northern power grids.
