Chevron assets frozen in Argentina

A judge in Argentina has ordered the freezing of local assets belonging to Chevron to enforce an Ecuadorean court order awarding US$19 billion in damages according to Bruchou, Fernández Madero & Lombardi partner Enrique Bruchou, who has been hired by a group of Ecuadorean plaintiffs in the latest twist of a long-running environmental damages claim in Ecuador.
