Chevron and Transocean ordered to stop drilling in Brazil
Brazil’s Second Regional Federal Court has ordered US oil company Chevron and its drilling partner Transocean to put a halt to their operations in the country this month because of an oil spill last November off the coast of Rio de Janeiro that has attracted worldwide media attention following proposed fines of unprecedented sums and potential criminal charges against company executives.
